The Big Surprise tm R11 Irons Review

TaylorMade was basically saying to all its competitors…"We're going to launch something none of you would ever even dream of doing." The TaylorMade R11 Irons have been released after the already successful R11 driver which has won 20 professional tour games within 6 months and became the best selling and the hottest golf driver around the world. If you want to buy a cheaper R11 iron set, you can search for cheap golf equipment for sale in many online shops to save some money.

TaylorMade's latest expansion to the overwhelmingly popular R11 line was to create an iron set that was engineered for players who appreciate the shape and refinement of a tour-grade iron but need the help of technology to launch the ball high, straight, and long with less effort, regardless of handicap. The TaylorMade R11 Irons are definitely not blades or a set of tour only clubs. Designed with more forgiveness in mind they appeal to a much larger audience. On the heels of Ping's big announcement for their new clubs for next season I'm sure was no coincidence.

The one-piece stainless steel cast heads for TaylorMade R11 Irons boast a thin, lightweight face design like the Burner 2.0. The weight removed from the clubface has been shifted low and back to create a higher launch angle, faster ball speed, increased distance and more forgiveness. The result is comparable launch, ball flight and length to the Burner 2.0, as well as 15-yard distance gaps between clubs.

In addition, a light and lively face combines with "inverted cone technology" to deliver more consistent ball speeds and forgiveness on mis-hits. At impact, the R11 feels and sounds more muted (quieter) than the loud-ish Burner 2.0 because the R11's clubface is slightly thicker in the impact zone and where it connects to the sole.
Progressive CG location positions the CG low in the longer irons to make them easier to launch, and higher in the shorter irons. The TaylorMade R11 Irons feature a wider soles in the longer irons to pull the CG lower for easier, higher launch while also increasing MOI to make them more stable and forgiving.
